Stanley International Dragon Boat Races
The time has come again for the increasingly popular Stanley International Dragon Boat Races set to run on Thursday the 28th of May 2009.
Otherwise known as the Tuen Ng Festival, this is a traditional Chinese festival held on the 5th day of the 5th Month (Double 5th) on the Chinese Calendar. Last year it was on the 8th of June, this year it is on the 28th of May, and next year it will be on the 16th of June. China, Hong Kong, Taiwan and Macau all enjoy a public holiday on the day of the Dragon Boat Festival. The Dragon Boat Festival is also celebrated in several other East Asian Nations.
